Minister of Science, technology and Space Yaacov Perry spoke at the Jerusalem Press Club to members of the Foreign Press Association. Mr. Perry, who has just returned from a visit in Jordan, said that in spite of the recent turmoil around the Temple Mount, relations between Jordan and Israel remain solid.
Mr. Perry condemned the recent incidents, where both a synagogue and a mosque were set fire to, by extremists on both sides.
As per the peace process, Mr. Perry said that he and his colleagues at Yesh Atid party were frustrated by the fact that the bi-lateral Israeli-Palestinian talks came to a dead end, and recommended a regional approach, where the moderate Arab states would play a positive role, with the issue of the Israeli-Palestinian track handled within the more feasible and conducive regional framework.
