Following the success of the First International Conference on the Freedom of the Press: Old Commitments, New Challenges (May 25-27, 2015), the Jerusalem Press Club (JPC) ran the second International Conference on the Freedom of the Press: Press Freedom in the Digital Era, which was held in Jerusalem on May 8-9, 2017.
The conference was held at the Jerusalem Press Club, with the participation of editors, journalists, heads of organizations committed to the Freedom of the Press, scholars and more.
The Jerusalem Press Club sees the freedom of the press as of utmost importance for journalists worldwide and therefore sees these International conferences as essential in order to maintain that freedom for journalists around the world.
