On February 15 – 2016, MK Ofer Shelach, Head of Yesh Atid faction in the Knesset, spoke to JPC members about the strategic situation and the challenges Israel is facing. Mr. Shelach said that the current Israeli approach, of inaction, is wrong, because Israel should be a player in the Middle East and not just an observer. At the same time, he didn’t endorse doing anything in Syria, because any Israeli action – even the “right” one (which he said he didn’t know what it was) – would be misinterpreted and might backfire on Israel.ГРИБЫ.
