Press Freedom Conferences
The International Conference on the Freedom of the Press is an initiative by the Jerusalem Press Club. The biannual conference raises awareness and discussion on Press Freedom globally, tackling subjects such as safety of journalists, ethical journalism and accurate reporting, through lectures and professional workshops with leading voices in the world of Journalism.
The previous two conferences have been held in cooperation with the Journalists’ Union in Israel. Journalists, Activists and experts gather together, in Jerusalem, on this special occasion to discuss the most pressing issues on the topic of Press Freedom worldwide.
Previous years’ guests included some of the most prominent reporters and editors of media outlets around the world, among them the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the Associated Press, the Los-Angeles Times and Digital Media companies such as VOX.
