The JPC was pleased to host the 2014 Annual Assembly of the European Press Clubs Federation, between May 1st – 3rd. Representatives of the major press clubs in Europe, from Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, Poland, Switzerland and the UK, enjoyed a warm hospitality in Jerusalem.
Aside of the formal deliberations of the Federation, the assembly included a festive welcoming reception, where Uri Dromi, the Director General of JPC, presented Samer Shalabi, the new FPA Chairman, with honorary Press membership card. Many guests attended the event, including Ambassador Daniel Shek, former Justice of the Supreme Court Dalia Dorner and Israeli award-winning newsmaker Oren Nahari.
In addition, the assembly included sessions with Ha’aretz Editor in Chief, Aluf Ben and photographer Frederic Brenner, a visit to Yad Vashem, culinary tour of Mahane Yehuda market, a guided tour of the Old City and a day at leisure at the Dead Sea.

According to the rules of the Federation the club that hosts the annual assembly is given the presidency of the EPCF for the following year. Hence, the JPC, which has just been accepted as a full-member to the Federation is the President for this year.
