Following the US government ban on flights to Israel, former NY mayor Michael Bloomberg announced he was flying to Israel to prove the safety of the trip. The next evening, on July 24th, Israeli and foreign journalists interviewed him at the JPC.
Israeli journalist Dana Weis quoted Bloomberg: “When I read about the AFA’s terrible decision to hand Hamas a big victory and to paralyze Israel, I said somebody has got to do something about it, youv’e got to express yourself”.
