On Wednesday, April 17t, 2019, the Jerusalem Press Club invited journalists to a tour in the special Passover eve atmosphere of the Haredi Community in Jerusalem.
In the Program we met Tzippy Yarom, a Haredi female journalist of Mishpacha Magazine. She explained the atmosphere previous to the Passover Holiday in the Ultraorthodox society. We had the opportunity to meet a local resident and spoke to him about the preparations for Passover, raising children and the particular way of life of his community. We toured the heart of the Haredi center of Jerusalem and witnessed the special customs: “Hagaalah of the utensils”, “Kimcha d’Pischa” (Aramaic for the flour of Passover), both special halachic customs regarding the preparations for Passover and donations to the needy one; The tour also included visiting unique stores and experiencing the temporary the Haredi street in general, and especially on Passover eve.
