On Tuesday, August 7 2018, the Jerusalem Press Club organized a special tour to Kafr Qasim focusing on innovation in the Arab society in Israel.
The group included 11 journalists from different media outlets.
The visit started with a warm welcome by the Kafr Qasim Mayor, Mr. Adel Badir, who presented the city’s development in the past 5 years, as well as his vision for innovation and development of the city and its residents.
The meeting followed by a talk with the head of Kafr Qasim Economic Company, Mr. Najeh Amer, who described the different city development projects such as the planning of a new industrial area and an innovation center.
Later, the Co-CEO of “Tsofen” organization, Mr. Paz Hirschmann, joined the conversation, presenting the organization’s activities throughout the country and especially in Kafr Qasim. He presented to the reporters with Mr. Amroo Amer, a young entrepreneur who graduated from the Tsofen program in the city.
